The Phyllis Bedford Dept. of the Ida Mae Black Missionary Society will host their Annual Health Fair, Sunday, February 12, 2012 immediately following Morning Worship in the lower level. Vendors will be present with information for all ages from infants to the elderly. Please plan to attend and support the health fair. Everyone is requested to wear red that Sunday. Board of Christian Education
The Board of Christian Education announces plans for BLACK HISTORY MONTH! Sunday, February 12th – Black History Brief: The History of the Civil Rights Movement; Sunday, February 26th – Excerpts from James Weldon Johnson’s “God’s Trombones” (poetry and spirituals songs) following morning worship, culminating with a soul-food meal. The Prince Hall Masonic Foundation is providing scholarships to qualified high school college bound seniors. The scholarships range form $500.00 to $2000.00. for more information, you may go to the website www.princehallmasonicfoundation.com All candidates will be notified via email for the status of their application. This year’s speaker is the exciting Reverend Dr. Brenda Kearney. Our unity colors for the day are gold and white.
